DESCRIPTION

Valerian has many healing attributes, ranging from liver problems, digestive ailments, and urinary tract disorders to nausea and insomnia.The sedative effects of valerian root are attributed to its relatively high GABA content.

 
Since ancient Greek times, valerian root has been valued as an antispasmodic and sleep aid. The first known records reported its use in the treatment of epilepsy. Today, valerian is widely used throughout Europe as a mild sedative and sleep aid for insomnia, and as a balancing agent for hyperexcitability and exhaustion, calming the one and stimulating the other.

DIRECTIONS OF USE
Adults: Take 1 teaspoon one to three times daily or as directed by your health-care practitioner.

WARNINGS
Contains no: Gluten, soy, wheat, corn, eggs, dairy, yeast, citrus, preservatives, artificial flavour or colour, or starch.

Cautions and warnings: Consult a health-care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Consumption with alcohol, other medications or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Consult a health-care practitioner if sleeplessness persists continuously for more than 3 weeks (chronic insomnia).

Known adverse reactions: Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle or involved in activities requiring mental alertness within 2 hours of consumption.
